Introduction to the Preschool Program

Program Goals – Kindergarten Readiness through Holistic Development

Peace of Mind joined the Little Newtons family of early childhood education centers in the spring of 2022. We provide an exceptional learning environment and understand the importance of quality early childhood care in fostering lifelong growth and curiosity. With vibrant classrooms and expansive outdoor play areas, there’s so much for children to explore and enjoy.

Philosophy – Preparing Young Learners for Academic and Social Success

Our programs cater to infants through school-age children, providing a stimulating and supportive atmosphere where kids love to learn, play, and grow. Our dedicated teachers and directors work passionately to create memorable experiences for every child, setting a solid foundation for future learning. The first five years are critical for growth and development, so we aim to help children reach milestones, achieve goals, and exceed expectations in a nurturing, enriching environment.

Age-Appropriate Learning Environments

Separate Classrooms for Younger and Older Preschoolers

Peace of Mind provides distinct classrooms for younger and older preschoolers, each matching the developmental needs of its age group. This structure provides children with an immersive environment tailored to encourage exploration, growth, and social engagement appropriate to their stage.

Personalized Learning and Age-Appropriate Challenges

With personalized learning plans, Peace of Mind offers age-appropriate activities and challenges that nurture each child’s milestones and abilities. This approach fosters confidence, independence, and excitement for learning, allowing children to progress at their own pace while building foundational skills that support long-term academic and social success.

Benefits of Early Childhood Development

Early childhood development is one of the most important stages of a child’s life. Childhood education is a crucial part of a child’s progress and well-being, and early learning centers provide an invaluable resource in helping children to learn, grow, and develop. When a child is enrolled at Little Sprouts, they are exposed to a variety of activities, such as art, music, science, and math, that can help them develop cognitively, emotionally, and socially. By participating in these activities in an early learning center, children can gain the skills necessary to succeed in school and beyond. Early childhood education can also help children develop language skills, which are important for their communication abilities. Additionally, early childhood education can give children the opportunity to develop self-confidence and self-esteem, which can help them as they grow and reach adulthood. With the help of Little Sprouts, children can set a strong foundation for their future, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.

Emotional Resilience and Self-Regulation

We help children understand and manage their emotions through mindfulness activities, breathing exercises, and storytelling. These tools enable children to recognize and label their emotions, encouraging emotional regulation. Role-playing and guided discussions also teach children appropriate ways to express themselves and navigate social interactions, building emotional resilience for school settings.

Parental Involvement

Open Communication Channels – Conferences and Feedback

At Peace of Mind, open communication with parents is key. The program includes scheduled parent-teacher conferences, biannual assessments, and daily feedback reports to inform families of their child’s progress.

Partnership in Development – Supportive At-Home Activities

We encourage parents to participate in their child’s development by engaging in at-home activities that align with preschool learning objectives, strengthening the partnership between home and school.
