Little Sprouts' Infant Care Programs

Developmental Activities – Sensory Play, Tummy Time, Music, and Language Exposure

Infants begin to learn at birth, and it’s imperative that they have a safe and nurturing place to continue learning as they grow. Our infant day care facility has various programs that foster physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.

Our infant program includes many activities to promote physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development. An innovative curriculum involving picture books, singalongs, and puppets fosters emotional development, while physical activities such as tummy time help build core and neck strength necessary for future sitting and crawling.

Our teachers incorporate many games to stimulate your baby’s touch, sight, sound, smell, and taste. We teach five languages and build a literacy foundation through reading and sign language.

Individualized Care Plans Tailored to Each Infant's Needs

We aim to prepare your infant for important milestones at the appropriate ages. Caregivers work to have your infant roll over, sit, and crawl. Teachers start with word associations with the aim of your infant using them when they begin talking. Fine motor skills, such as handling toys and utensils, promote dexterity and confidence. We’ll also take your infant outside to play, weather permitting. We believe the fresh air and different stimuli expose them to new sensory experiences and expand their understanding.

When your infant moves into the toddler stage, they’ll be ready. Your baby will be able to use a spoon to feed themselves, respond to their name, use nonverbal communication, walk, sleep on a cot, and be ready for conversations.

Don’t be surprised to find your new toddler starting to demonstrate object permanence and an interest in friends as they exit our infant program. You’ll see them name their favorite things and ask to play their favorite games with their new-found skills.

Infant Program Essentials and Supplies

Parent-Provided Items – Bottles, Diapers, Baby Food, Extra Clothes

We still need parents to provide a few basics. We ask parents to bring diapers and diaper creams, baby food, and formula or breast milk. These items should be clearly labeled to avoid confusion. If you choose to breastfeed, we have a comfortable and quiet space for you.

Center-Supplied Items – Wipes, Bibs, Age-Appropriate Toys, Vitamin D Milk

At Little Sprouts Academy, we provide most of the essentials as part of your tuition. We have bibs, baby wipes, and age-appropriate toys and games. Our cribs are spacious and have all the linens cleaned after every use. Your tuition also includes vitamin D milk and age-appropriate snacks as your infant moves to eating solid foods.

Flexible Infant Care Options

Part-Time and Full-Time Care to Suit Family Needs

We understand some parents have challenging and varying schedules. To help, we offer part-time and full-time infant day care to be flexible and considerate of your time.

Convenient Drop-Off and Pick-Up Times for Working Parents

We also have drop-off and pickup times that allow for parents who work regular hours.

Secure Sleep Practices and Comforting Nap Routines

Sleep Safety – Crib Standards and AAP Guidelines

Our infant cribs meet federal safety standards, and we conduct monthly inspections to ensure their safety. Following the American Academy of Pediatrics, we lay all infants on their backs to sleep.

Nap Routine – Natural Schedules in a Quiet, Comforting Environment

Unlike other infant care facilities with set schedules for napping, we allow your infant to sleep on their normal schedule. We’ll place them in their crib when they’re ready for a nap and let them get the rest they need when they need it. When they’re not sleeping, they’ll have access to various sensory toys to help stimulate them as they play and learn.

Benefits of Early Childhood Development

Early childhood development is one of the most important stages of a child’s life. Childhood education is a crucial part of a child’s progress and well-being, and early learning centers provide an invaluable resource in helping children to learn, grow, and develop. When a child is enrolled at Little Sprouts, they are exposed to a variety of activities, such as art, music, science, and math, that can help them develop cognitively, emotionally, and socially. By participating in these activities in an early learning center, children can gain the skills necessary to succeed in school and beyond. Early childhood education can also help children develop language skills, which are important for their communication abilities. Additionally, early childhood education can give children the opportunity to develop self-confidence and self-esteem, which can help them as they grow and reach adulthood. With the help of Little Sprouts, children can set a strong foundation for their future, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.
